Thanks to Val and RCR clubber I learnt to:
1. plan, plan, plan my workouts and my food (like Danielly says, she is the Queen of planning and I learnt a lot from h3r as well);
2. eat and cook clean;
3. fit my workouts and cardio into a busy life looking after a toddler and working part-time;
4. make yummy green smothies and to love eating lots of green veggies every day; and
5. I learnt that I really am "only one workout away from a good mood"!

Thanks Val, you ROCK!
Happy Borthday RCR.

Val these are some good tips from all of your students. As someone who aspires to train women I am aware of that woman battle more circumstances then men do when it comes to weight loss. Keep bringing the good info and the exercises...Dee

As the RCR girls stated and Val drummed into my head, plan, plan plan and consistency is the key to everything.

As long as I not only planned and pre-made my food ahead of time but I also pre-planned what I would eat if something happened and I was without my food at another location because of my job, I already had a plan as to what I would eat according to what was around me. Val actually had pointed it out to me that she noticed when I didn't plan and pre-make my food was when I would screw up. I don't anymore.

Guess what though, when I did or do screw up, I learned not to beat myself up about it and go on (that's where the consistency comes in) otherwise I would never get anywhere.

One question I always, always ask myself when I am either not in the mood to workout or when I am about to eat something that is a no-no, "Is this going to take me 1 step closer to my goal or 1 step back?". When the answer is back, I stop myself and get back on track. I find this question really keeps me from making a lot of mistakes in any goal I have whether it's fitness or others. I think and visualize where I want to be, how I want to look and feel 1 year from the present day and it really keeps me going in the tough times. Believe me, I know as I am constantly bombarded and surrounded by temptations and major no-no foods but I stick to my guns!

I hope this helps someone! You rock VAL!!! Keep surfing!!

Thanks to Val and RCR clubber I learnt to:
1. plan, plan, plan my workouts and my food (like Danielly says, she is the Queen of planning and I learnt a lot from her as well);
2. eat and cook clean;
3. fit my workouts and cardio into a busy life looking after a toddler and working part-time;
4. make yummy green smothies and to love eating lots of green veggies every day; and
5. I learnt that I really am "only one workout away from a good mood"!

Thanks Val, you ROCK!
Happy Birthday RCR.

I didn't say in my post in the RCR forums but here's what I learned from being in the club as well as from Valerie - is the importance of consistency. This is a process that has ups and downs. As long as you stay focused and clarify your goals regularly, you will reach them. Setting intentions has given me the willpower and commitment I never had before joining the Red Carpet Ready program.

The other thing I've learned the hard way is: Drink Water! Stay Hydrated! The amount of water I drink is always linked to my energy level, my fluid retention and the ups & downs of my mood.

Thanks Val - your efforts and programs are appreciated more than you can imagine!

Plan, Plan, Plan (your food & workouts)!... It seems like a hassle at first, but then it becomes second nature. Your body will thank you later! :)
