RedCarpetReady.tv is for all of my clients. It doesn’t matter if you follow Redd Carpet Ready, Action Hero Babe, I Want My Bikini Body or even someone else’s program. RedCarpetReady.tv is for everyone to enjoy. Today, I am filming an upcoming episode with Gavan Murphy aka The Healthy Irishman. We are doing healthy Thanksgiving swaps!! Stay tuned.
Hi Val, It’s me Starry/aka Mary ~ I love the Yoda quote ~ there is absolutely positively NO TRY ~ you do or you don’t…end of story. Look forward to hearing from you. I like the weekly format. The live chats are great but not always in my schedule, this format is great because I can watch around my work hours…Will be ordering AHB at the end of November…Am SO excited… Thank you for your support, there is no one like you Valerie, you RAWK~!!
Hi Val, Good to see RCR TV is back. What do you think about intermittent fasting? I’m not talking about a “master cleanse” or anything like that, but about fasting 18-24 hours 1 or 2 days a week. I’ve started IF and it is helping me curb some of my mindless eating habits.
Val you are so right–it’s simple but not easy, at least in the beginning. After one amazing year on the program the clean eating and commitment to adapting the program to fit in my fourteen hour workday is automatic and literally part of who I am. The consequences of eating the wrong foods and skipping too many workouts are no longer worth it. I never think of myself as “being on a diet” or having to “work off” my food…I simply believe in living my life “RCR”. I realize now how much more I love my crunchy veggies, little packs of raw almonds and ready to go protein shakes than chips or cake. A perfect apple makes my day and throwing in a val slide set or some stability ball crunches in between clients affords me the extra insurance I need to stay comfortably in my skinny jeans. When you “go RCR” you lose the drama and trauma of yo-yo dieting and inefficient training and focus on goal setting your way to your best body ever. No one has ever put the game plan together like you have for me. It’s exciting for me to think of myself as” a great work in progress” and now for once the progress is doable, measurable. tangible and ongoing! Thank you Val!!! xo!
You look great in this video! – hair, makeup & background
Can you tell me if you ever have “cheat days” or “pig out”? How often can one do that?
Sometimes, after days where I eat fruit, veg and protein with some carbo (rice), water and green tea, my body craves for something ‘naughty’, like dark chocolate or pizza or ice cream or hot dogs. Is this normal? Is that something you can do with the cravings?
Is it a good idea to have only 1 big meal in the day and have fruit when I feel hungry the rest of the day to help speed up weight loss?
Any advice on dark circles under the eyes?
THANKS so much! Look forward to your reply soon. (Please reply to my email too as there are times when the internet is not so stable to surf the net). Ball of sunshine from me to you!
Hi Val! Quick question for you. I love dark chocolate and I bought the raw organic cacao nibs that you recommend. I use them in smoothies but find that they’re too bitter to eat alone or in trail mix, even for someone who is used to super dark chocolate. I bought the kind that have absolutely nothing added but I noticed they also sold the exact same thing that had a bit of sweetener added (raw cane sugar or syrup I think?). Can I use those instead? I would think you get the same antioxidants but does it then make the sugar content too high to eat while I’m on AHB?
Love it Val!!! You and your camera man did a great job! You are such an inspiration – This is going to be so much furn!! Can not wait to see more!! Hugs you!!
I love that you brought this back!! I have a question for you, I was just told by my doctor that I am taking 4 medications that are working against me and actually making me gain weight. What do you recommend for this? They cannot be switched and I could only stop taking one if need be. I followed your AHB dvd’s and journaled all of my foods for 4 weeks and still gained 2.6 lbs in those 4 weeks. I’m getting really discouraged and not sure if there’s anything I can do about it.
Hi Marilyn! We will definitely talk about holiday food strategies. Gavan Murphy aka the Healthy Irishman, is going to come by to talk about healthy swaps for Thanksgiving.
Catherine- I like your idea about hunger control. That is a really good topic. Thanks!
Hey Wendy! Thank you for the nice comments. Good job on your program. You will definitely get to a size 6!
Thanks Melanie! There will be more chats inside the RCR club but this is really about being able to bring more info delivered in small bits so you can use it right away.
Hi Nicola, Make sure you watch your bonus DVD “Let’s Get Cooking”. There are some snack ideas in there. I will be bringing more though. Also, I will have my amazing chiropractor on at some point to help talk about back and knees and stuff and for sure Nerida the skin expert will come by. She is awesome!
Tamika – Definitely will be bringing lots of great info on diet and skin care!
Hey Val,
3 things.
1) Do you know of any tips for big bags and puffiness under my eyes?
2) I’m having a real problem with late night munching. Is there anything I can eat as a snack and not be freaked about? I’ve already gone from 153 to 147 in two weeks so I’m not that worried! But I would like to feel good about what I’m throwing in my mouth while watching Alias!
3) What are you doing? You look HOT!
It sounds like a great idea which I am sure will be very helpful for all of us. Only last week, I ordered my AHB kit – after following your blog, etc for almost a year. Something just clicked so I can really connect with what you mean when talking about the mindset. I didn’t have that feeling before – ever! – so I am really exited that my motivation boost coincides with the comeback of regular “check in”, as Melanie put it, with you.
I guess what I would like to see discussed are:
good snack ideas for on the go that help me not veer off to the next “bad food place”;
modified exercise ideas or advice for people with joint problems or back problems and maybe even for people who tend to get bulky in certain places like quads, lats …;
the relationship between food and the way your skin looks;
and also, what I would love is a body assessment at the end of the programme. I can imagine that not everybody (certainly not me) will look as perfect as they want to by the end of 6 weeks so that would be a good point to determine the next steps – what to up up what to reduce, etc … Just an idea.
Great video, Val! Sounds like this is going to be a great series. I really liked the message in this video. It is really important to put your mind to it.
Love this concept. It really helps to have the “check in” with you. Very motivating and helps to stay on track. I guess what I would love to see is a weekly, concise video like this. Really great in lieu of the live chats.
Just saw your video and enjoyed it very much. I purchased the Action Hero Babe DVDs and the Valslide DVD. I started with the Valslide DVD right off the top with the 40 minute workout and also did other strength training on alternate days. Then my Action Hero Babe DVDs arrived and I have started Phase I about 2 weeks or so ago. I am loving them and after a month will move to Phase 2. I am already seeing a difference. I am down to a size 8 but shooting for a size 6 and hoping to stabilize there, which is what I really feel most comfortable at.
Thank you for these amazing DVDs and also all the video support you send us! The Action Hero Babe DVDs really work and I highly recommend them to everyone who is serious about getting into shape.
Bye for now….and I look forward to hearing more about the new website.
Hi Val,
I think this is great and love all of the useful info you are continually sharing with us. My biggest question involves appetite control. I notice that when I do increase my cardio and weightlifting, I feel a lot hungrier throughout the day. What are your suggestions on how to curb this increased appetite and what are good “on the go” types of food (e.g. almonds)?
Thanks!!
Love it! It’s great info you have given! I guess since the holidays are coming maybe it would be a good idea to give a few more tips of avoiding disasters with your diet and exercise regimen during these hectic times. Maybe even a few holiday favorite food makeovers? Also, maybe reminding everyone more than ever at this time is when you have to pre-plan your nutrition to include the parties and get togethers.
Hey Val, sorry I’ve been MIA, though I have been sticking with the RCR programme. This video is great, and am excited about seeing some of the upcoming pieces.

I would love to hear some tips on good skin care products for people who have sensitive skin.
