This is a powerful tool indeed and I have used my vision more than once to motivate myself and achieve what I desire. An example of such is running a marathon. Never having ran a mile before beginning training to do so (yes I can be extreme) during my training period I often visualized running outside, nice and steady, upright, and breathing controllably and smoothly. It was a great exercise to do and fall back on when the tough miles hit. During the race I just slipped back into what I visualized during training and it motivated me to keep on going. Your mind is a powerful force for motivation.

This is really interesting stuff - in my life coaching class one of the tools they use is called a vision statement. They talked about how the subconscious
mind has the ability, in anything it accepts as true, to do whatever it takes to turn it into reality. The purpose of a vision statement is to pass positive life messages to the subconscious mind, and to make it believe the messages are true, thus helping make the life you want, a reality. The catch is it must be something that is realistic and achievable to you- you have to believe it is possible.... Oh, and the timing you talked about, morning and night, is when the subconscious is the most open to these thoughts... Thanks for sharing this great technique Val!!

So true!
Here's a self awareness exercise that I use to switch my mindset.

Begin the day with 10 coins in one of your pockets.
Everytime you catch yourself thinking something negative about yourself, take a coin out of your pocket.
Time how long you hold onto your coins for.
Try to extend this time each day.

I saw the preview for the movie this weekend. It's going to be a great film. I am wondering how far this will go now with filmaking. It has great possibilites but there is nothing like you rown mind to visualize who you want to be and how you will get there.

Wow, that is just incredible. Amazing, to actually think that there is technology that can do that, bring your intentions to life. I think it could be a little frightening in some ways, as when you try to visualise your perfect body you never can tell what it would look like to others. If you were to see it in front of you, it could be shocking but also a huge motivation. My XT10 shows that my body is strong. On the morning of my wedding day (21st August next year) my thighs will be long lean and free of imperfections with the defining line all the way up the top, my arms will be a little more defined, my waist will be smaller and i will have the line definition all the way down my stomach. But mainly i will be confident with my dream body and ready to enjoy a day being recorded with photos and film.
