Thanks for the kind words! Kara, you can get the Protein Rush or Zero Impact shakes from VPX at Vitamin Shoppe or at www.vpxsports.com The best times to take the shake is for breakfast (first thing in the morning) and right after a workout. Good luck!

P.S. Val is the BEST!

These are good things to know. I definitely agree with the sugar and salt analogy as once i changed my eating habits i immediately began to be sesitive to things that were to sweet or to salty. I had a question regarding the protein .. read on Tom Venuto's blog where he advocates eating solid food as opposed to doing "shakes". What have you found works more with women, men?

Where can you find the protein shakes Rehan was talking about? I thought he said VPX. At the beginning he said VPX.com and I looked there and there was no website. Help hook me up to the protein shakes. Also, question for you....do you sugest drinking the shake in the morning for breakfast, or before a workout or after, does it matter? Today I did you workout in the morning and had my shake for lunch after. Thanks, Kara

Great video! I am waiting in suspense for part 2. :-)

You make a really good point, Val, about our tastebuds changing, and really sweet and really salty foods not tasting good anymore. Sometimes when I even look at a really sugary dessert like a cupcake with lots of frosting, for example, it almost gives me the shivers because I know that if I eat it, the super sugar rush and the taste of boat loads of pure sugar just makes me feel sick and doesn't even taste good to me.

I would much prefer a dessert that I make at home using sugar alternatives like stevia or agave syrup or even mashed bananas for sweetness, over something like that. This way it not only tastes good and curbs my sweets craving, but also makes me feel good knowing I am putting foods that are good for me into my body.

Hey Val,
I think the discussion was very informative not only for the holidays. I will keep this information in mind, specially I am going on vacation for a week and my goal is to loose at least 8 lbs by the end of December. I already lost 2lb since I start this program and I am very excited thus, I am open to any suggestion. can' t wait for the second part. thanks very much for your support.
