Valslide Exercise for Beach-Ready Abs

We know now that one of the very best exercises we can do for our midsection is the Plank.

If you’ve never tried it, you basically lay out flat in pushup position with your forearms on the floor… essentially, you’re forcing your core muscles to hold your body in stiff “plank” position for a period of time.

But what happens if you want a little bit more? Maybe the plank has become too easy… Or you realize that Summer is approaching fast and you need results NOW!

That’s when you bring out your Valslides and try this brand new variation!

Give this a shot and let me know what you think in the comments below!

Hey Clark! thanks so much for the feedback. What body part to you want to blast next? I will show how Valslide can help.

Darren – I am just sliding on an area rug.

For my girls – MB, LeeAnne, Dawn, Denise, Danielly, Wendy and Alexandra – I will keep them coming for you. Lots of new stuff in the new IWMBB workouts due at the end of April.

Jimi – Do you have the Valslide? You will absolutely love all the stuff you can do with them and the results you and your clients will get!!

Once again, you have come up with a GREAT exercise. You have outdone yourself if that is possible. I found the video at a different part of your site. I can fairly easily do 3+ minutes of the basic plank exercise. I can do approximately 30 seconds of this exercise. Two of the reasons that this is such a great exercise are (1) the variations one can do (a) one-legged, (b) with a weighted vest, and/or (c) moving to the left or right of center (from the basic starting position), and (2) ease. in getting into the basic starting position. The easier it is to start the more likely a person is to do the exercise or more frequently do it.

Good exercises Val. Can I ask what are you using to slide the val slides on? Was that a blanket?

Glad you all like the new exercises! The VS bench plank is so sneaky. It looks like it would be nothing but it really works! Not hard enough for you? Do a slow and controlled Mountain Climber in this position.

    Have a great weekend!
