14 Comments June 24, 2010 / Posted in Uncategorized

Today’s video is a response to my post the other day about your “one thing.”

If you struggle with self-sabotage by way of snacking, I think this is REALLY going to help you!

Go here to view the post from the other day where I talk about your “one thing” – then take a look at the comments… I’ll be choosing a few people to win a copy of my brand new unreleased DVD. So you still have time to get in…

The DVD features Katrina from ToneItUp.com and Max Wettstein, Men’s Health Cover Model… I know you’re going to LOVE it

Wonderful video! When will your dvd be released to the rest of the world? Cody deserves his own fitness dvd perhaps for my well fed toy pom (daddy’s influence)!

This is great information Val. I work from home now so while I’m not eating out as much as I was before during the day, I have found it challenging to come up with good, healthy and non-boring snack ideas. You offer some great suggestions for variety. And, not just for the work week, but for the weekends too when my husband and I are out and about. Now I have some great ideas and am going snack shopping tonight!

Also, I wanted to mention while I’m here, that thanks to your workouts and RCR program I was able to lose 20lbs and look fabulous for my Mexico wedding in April. In fact, I believe my seamstress had to remove about 8-10″ of fabric from my dress because of my weight loss and tone. Everyone asked what I was doing to look so great and I proudly shared your name and program information. So, THANK YOU!!!!! :-) I’ll am moving on to the bikini body program next and am VERY excited about it.

Great tips Val, I will look for the gluten free snacks you mentioned. Late night snacking has been my downfall.

Thanks for the snack ideas! I will start substituting my processed snacks for more healthy snacks. I was eating 100 calorie snacks like cheez it, cookies, cereals, pretzels and crackers.

Hey Val- I just finished your $30 cardio workout (yay!). Love this video series! I was wondering how to sneak more veggies into my diet. I will def try the veggies with hummus for a snack…Any other suggestions?

    Thanks! :-)

Thanks, enjoyed this video and the information provided. I have a question re Protein powder, I recently received some Sun Warrior protein powder and would like to know the best time to drink it? My goal is to shed 5 pounds, but I would like include some protein drinks. Is it possible to use it as a meal? Thanks.

Love the snack ideas and Cody too! What a cute dog :) I have some other good recommendations for protein bars.I’ve sampled a lot and here are two that I rely on in a pinch. The Cliff Kid Z Bar is fabulous and the portion size is spot on! Calories: 130, Sugars: 11g, Protein: 3. They also come is yummy flavors like Chocolate Chip and Fudge Brownie which are great for fending off those cookie/baked good cravings. Also I love LARABAR’s. They are a little more caloric than the Cliff Kid’s but are full of good nutrition. Basically they are comprised of fruit and nuts with no added sugar. They are also gluten free, dairy free and veagn if you are concerned about those things. Calories: approx. 200(vary by flavor), Fiber: 6 grams, Protein: 6 grams. Anyone have suggestions for new snack ideas that are dairy and meat free and between 150-200 calories? Although I love fruit and nuts, I need something new to add to my repertoire.

Thanks Val! I know planning is so important. Thanks for making it sound so simple. One thing I do that I do that really helps is, I have 5 things on my grocery list that I buy every week. This way I’m always sure to have something healthy in the pantry and refrigerator.
