Thanks Val! I know planning is so important. Thanks for making it sound so simple. One thing I do that I do that really helps is, I have 5 things on my grocery list that I buy every week. This way I'm always sure to have something healthy in the pantry and refrigerator.

Love the snack ideas and Cody too! What a cute dog :) I have some other good recommendations for protein bars.I've sampled a lot and here are two that I rely on in a pinch. The Cliff Kid Z Bar is fabulous and the portion size is spot on! Calories: 130, Sugars: 11g, Protein: 3. They also come is yummy flavors like Chocolate Chip and Fudge Brownie which are great for fending off those cookie/baked good cravings. Also I love LARABAR's. They are a little more caloric than the Cliff Kid's but are full of good nutrition. Basically they are comprised of fruit and nuts with no added sugar. They are also gluten free, dairy free and veagn if you are concerned about those things. Calories: approx. 200(vary by flavor), Fiber: 6 grams, Protein: 6 grams. Anyone have suggestions for new snack ideas that are dairy and meat free and between 150-200 calories? Although I love fruit and nuts, I need something new to add to my repertoire.

Thanks, enjoyed this video and the information provided. I have a question re Protein powder, I recently received some Sun Warrior protein powder and would like to know the best time to drink it? My goal is to shed 5 pounds, but I would like include some protein drinks. Is it possible to use it as a meal? Thanks.

Great tips Val, I will look for the gluten free snacks you mentioned. Late night snacking has been my downfall.
