Re-Invent Your AB Workout With The Valslide

The Valslide is changing the way people workout. By introducing mild instability, old standbys like lunges and planks become entirely new exercises. What’s even better? Master one move, and then try the nearly endless variations.

In celebration of the brand new Valslide Amazing Abs DVD let’s start with the Valslide Mountain Climber. This is a great exercise to increase core stabilization and work those lower abs.

To make it more challenging, try any or all of the variations below…

Also, a big THANK YOU to everyone who commented on my last blog “Momentum. Motivation. More Results!”
The winners who received a free copy of the new Valslide Amazing Abs DVD are: Jodie, Clark and Jessi – congratulations!!

Great exercises, Val. I’ll have to add these to my training repertoire. It looks as if they will increase my clients’ variety and results.

Actually, when I do RCR the valslide mountain climber is my very favourite exercise, I just find it really fun.

Great ideas! I really had not thought about the mountain climber until the e-mail. By doing this exercise you can lengthen your solar plexes as well as strengthen them. This will at least in my opinion reduce the possibility of (1) pulled core muscles and (2) lower back strain. I have two suggestions for working your obliques with the mountain climber exercises. Place the medicine ball to right for example (instead of straight ahead) and do 10 consecutive kneeups with your left and vice versa with placing it to the left for the opposite side. You can use the bench in the same manner. It is a way of saving costs. Thanks again for your idea.

I like to take it up a notch by using only one valslide at a time!

Keep moving your other leg through the air (no touch down) and go as fast as you can.

    Thanks Val!

Hey Jessica – Yeah the iphone was Ryan’s idea.

Arlene- Please share with PT. Let me know what she thinks. I love getting feedback from the pros.

    Rebecca- Thanks you!

Karen- Right? Who wants to spend hours in the gym when you can up the intensity and just get it done.

Valslides add such intensity to otherwise basic moves, that the number of reps can be decreased, but the benefit will be increased. How is that for a time saver?

You don’t need to do crunches is you do these right…you can also add a traditional push up or a chattaranga push up every other one or after you do 5 per leg…I teach this in one of my power yoga classes after several sun salutes…thanks Val, I always love your inspirations and it’s always right on time.

I will share these with my personal trainer for her input. I’m sure she will be excited to see these.

Mountain climbers on the bosu!?! Awesome! I was just moving mine around today wondering how I could incorporate it… Thanks Val – this DVD looks great. Also, very cool that you are offering the product on the iphone, too.
